Gujranwala’s dessert scene is about to get a major upgrade. Crumble, one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing cookie brands, has announced that it will open its newest branch in Satellite Town, Gujranwala on August 14th — right in time for Independence Day celebrations.
From a GIKI Dorm Room to a Nationwide Brand
Crumble’s story is one of Pakistan’s most talked-about startup journeys. The brand was founded by Agha Abdullah, then a student at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), who started baking and selling cookies out of a dorm room countertop. What began as a small campus hustle quickly grew into a full-fledged bakery business, eventually moving into a commercial space in Rawalpindi’s Chaklala Scheme 3.
Since then, Crumble has expanded rapidly, opening new branches across major Pakistani cities including Lahore, and building a loyal, mostly Gen Z customer base along the way. The Gujranwala launch marks the brand’s seventh city.
Why Gujranwala, Why Now
Crumble has built its identity around more than just cookies. Its social media presence is known for witty, unfiltered banter with followers, turning ordinary customer interactions into viral content instead of relying on polished advertising. This approach has made Crumble’s pages a daily stop for fans, not just a place to place an order.
Bringing that same energy to Gujranwala means locals can expect more than a bakery opening — expect a full-blown Independence Day event, with founder Agha Abdullah personally inviting fans (“Pehlwano”) to show up for the launch at Crumble Gujrnwala
What to Expect on the Menu
Crumble is known for its oven-baked, made-to-order cookies in flavors like Classic Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet, Nutella-stuffed, and Cookies & Cream, along with nationwide shipping and corporate gifting options for those outside the city.
Where Exactly: Satellite Town Market
The new branch will be located on Dastgir Road, right next to Layers Bakeshop, in the heart of Satellite Town Market — widely regarded as Gujranwala’s oldest, busiest, and most developed commercial market. In recent years, the area has been steadily attracting bigger national brands, and Crumble’s arrival adds to that momentum.
There’s also buzz that KFC may be planning another branch in the same area, though this remains unconfirmed at this stage. If it turns out to be true, Satellite Town Market could be on its way to becoming Gujranwala’s biggest food and retail hub.
